This Data Contribution and Annotation Agreement ("Agreement") governs participation in any data collection, annotation, benchmarking, evaluation, survey, or submission process conducted by Sleeping AI ("Sleeping AI", "we", "our", or "us").
By submitting data, annotations, ratings, feedback, benchmark responses, or any other content through any Sleeping AI website, platform, application, API, research project, event, or communication channel ("Submission"), you agree to the following terms.
Sleeping AI collects data to advance artificial intelligence research and related scientific work. Your contributions help improve datasets, benchmarks, evaluation methodologies, machine learning systems, and scientific understanding.
By making a Submission, you grant Sleeping AI a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:
No compensation is owed for any Submission unless explicitly agreed in writing.
You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you have in your original Submission. However, you grant Sleeping AI the license described in this Agreement to use the Submission for research and related purposes.
Any datasets, benchmarks, annotations, derived works, models, statistics, analyses, and research outputs created by Sleeping AI remain the property of Sleeping AI unless otherwise stated.
Your Submission may be used for machine learning research, AI model development, benchmark creation and evaluation, academic publications, conference presentations, educational purposes, reproducibility studies, and future research projects related to artificial intelligence.
Sleeping AI aims to protect participant privacy. Where reasonably possible, we remove or anonymize personally identifiable information before using or sharing data for research purposes. However, complete anonymization cannot always be guaranteed, particularly where information is voluntarily included within a Submission.
To comply with applicable laws, legal obligations, fraud prevention, security investigations, platform integrity, or requests from competent governmental or regulatory authorities, Sleeping AI may retain certain identifiers or metadata for an extended period, including internal submission identifiers, account identifiers, timestamps, technical metadata, network or device identifiers, and compliance records.
Sleeping AI may publish scientific findings based on collected data. Published material will generally contain aggregated, statistical, or anonymized information rather than personally identifiable participant information unless explicit additional permission has been obtained.
You represent that your Submission does not knowingly violate the rights of another person, you have the necessary rights to submit the content, and you understand that your Submission may become part of long-term research datasets.
Where legally required, Sleeping AI will consider requests to delete or anonymize personal information. Certain information may nevertheless be retained where required by law, necessary to protect research integrity, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or comply with lawful requests from competent authorities.
Sleeping AI provides its research platforms and benchmarks on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, except as required by applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sleeping AI shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or special damages arising from participation in any Sleeping AI research activity.
Sleeping AI may update this Agreement from time to time. Updated versions will become effective upon publication unless otherwise stated.

By submitting annotations, benchmark evaluations, ratings, feedback, datasets, or other contributions through any Sleeping AI platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement.
